Vocabulary किसी भाषा में घुले-मिले शब्दों का एक समूह होता है। विस्तृत vocabulary से वार्तालाप करने और ज्ञान प्राप्त करने में काफी सहायता मिलती हैं। कई लोगों को vocabulary विकसित करना एक कठिन कार्य लगता है, हालाँकि बहुत से शब्दों को सीखा जा सकता है। हर कोई चाहता है कि उसके पास व्यापक दृष्टिकोण के साथ एक विस्तृत vocabulary हो क्योंकि यह SSC सहित सभी सरकारी परीक्षा के लिए भी उपयोगी होता हैं। SSC CHSL और CGL की परीक्षा में अब कुछ दिन शेष हैं। इसी को ध्यान में रखकर हम डेली vocabulary लेकर आयें हैं। यह vocabulary आपको परीक्षा में काफी मदद करेगा और अंग्रेजी सेक्शन को मजबूत करेगा।
1. REDACT (verb) संपादित करना
Meaning: edit (text) for publication.
Synonyms: correct, rectify, repair, fix.
Antonyms: befoul, deteriorate, diminish, hinder.
Usage: Some of the conclusions in the report have been redacted.
2. INCOHERENT (adjective) असंगत
Meaning: (of spoken or written language) expressed in an incomprehensible or confusing way; unclear.
Synonyms: unclear, confused, muddled, garbled.
Antonyms: coherent, lucid, intelligible, organized.
Usage: David muttered something incoherent and rude and scrambled to his feet, fumbling for the sword.
3. CONFABULATE (verb) बातचीत करना
Meaning: to talk informally
Synonyms: cackle, chat, patter, schmooze.
Antonyms: be silent, be quiet.
Usage: Guests gathered in the hallway to confabulate about the weather and make small talk.
4. PURPORTEDLY (adverb) कथित रूप से
Meaning: As appears or is stated to be true, though not necessarily so; allegedly.
Synonyms: allegedly, professedly, supposedly, seemingly, superficially.
Antonyms: absolutely, authentically, certainly, earnestly, exactly.
Usage: The woman found a letter purportedly signed by the Prime Minister.
5. SUPINE (adjective) लापरवाह
Meaning: failing to act or protest as a result of moral weakness or indolence.
Synonyms: spineless, pliant, submissive, inactive.
Antonyms: proactive, fecund, vivacious, tenacious.
Usage: My brother-in-law is a lazy fellow who will sleep with his head up in a supine position all day long.
6. TACIT (adjective) सूचित
Meaning: understood or implied without being stated.
Synonyms: implicit, inferred, insinuated, unspoken.
Antonyms: blatant, evident, manifest, explicit.
Usage: In my business, all that is needed for a tacit understanding is a handshake between men.
7. VALEDICTORY (Noun) विदाई
Meaning: a farewell address.
Synonym: farewell, goodbye, leaving, parting, departing, going away, last, final
Usage: On the last day of school, seniors wrote a valedictory stating what they would miss about high school and read it in front of the class for their final grade.
8. INTERDICT (Noun) पाबंदी
Meaning: an authoritative prohibition, in particular
Synonym: prohibition, ban, bar, veto, prescription,
Antonym: corroborate, support
Usage: Because I failed most of my classes last term, my parents will probably interdict me from working this semester.
9. DOWNRIGHT (adjective) सर्वथा
Meaning: (of something bad or unpleasant) utter; complete (used for emphasis).
Synonyms: total, absolute, thorough, perfect, sheer.
Antonyms: inadequate, incomplete, insufficient, unfinished.
Usage: It was downright bad marking that allowed Dermot Shields head past Larkin from six yards for the lead goal.
10. CONFLATE (verb) मिलाना
Meaning: combine (two or more sets of information, texts, ideas, etc.) into one.
Synonyms: amalgamate, converge, unify, fuse.
Antonyms: divide, part, separate, rupture.
Usage: To conflate art and science, teachers must design activities that blend the two.
